Welcome!

Thank you to all the organizers, speakers, and attendees for making the Workshop a success!

See you in 2014 in Cincinnati!

We are pleased to announce the 2012 Neurobiology of Stress Workshop, to be held on the campuses of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania on June 12-15, 2012.

The Workshop is an opportunity to gather and discuss current basic, translational, and clinical research findings relevant to the effects of stress on the brain and behavior. This is a unique conference, designed to promote exchange in a small, intimate setting between scientists conducting research with a stress focus, with the goal of fostering interactions across diverse fields and approaches.

This workshop follows the highly successful Workshop that was held in Boulder, Colorado in 2010 that prompted the effort to continue the Stress Workshops on a biennial basis. The 2012 Workshop will follow a similar format of plenary sessions, a poster session and an emphasis on interactions between scientists at all levels as well as across basic, preclinical and clinical domains.

Support for the meeting has been graciously provided by Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics Clinical and Translational Science Awards, the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center at the University of Pennsylvania, and by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The Workshop is held biennially; recent past meetings were held in Boulder, Colorado (2010) and San Rafael, California (2008).

We hope that you will be able to join us,

Dr. Seema Bhatnagar, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine

and

Dr. Teresa Reyes, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine
